Beyond a Retreat - Coop's Reset 2022

Last month, 60 Navy Special Operations service members across both coasts took part in one of our most impactful programs to date. Formerly the Operator Reset Initiative, Coop’s Reset was named in honor of late Navy EOD Warrior EODCS Steve "Coop" Cooper.

It has been painful for too long to watch teammates hang up their uniforms and no longer have that clear, focused vision alongside peers who shared our values and struggles. Along with the physical and emotional wounds from the job, that loss of purpose can sometimes be too much to bear, and the tragic statistics have been overwhelming.

Veteran retreats rely on combat and disorders as the commonality service members all share and require varying degrees of structured therapy, potentially creating the perception that there is something wrong with you if you attend. While these sorts of programs have been effective, we believed there was a need for a program that addresses these challenges at a truly preventative level.

Coop's Reset was created to give those still in the fight a meaningful opportunity to reset while at the same time opening our arms to those who have retired or separated to ensure they know they ALWAYS have a place within our extraordinary and unique community.

NSO Spotlight

No Mercy No Quit

No Mercy No Quit (NMNQ) was founded by two Navy EOD Operators who are “Driven by Adrenaline” and determined to succeed in all aspects of life. NMNQ wants to inspire everybody to get out of their comfort zone & never give up in the pursuit of achieving their dreams.

With great appreciation and to give back to their community that has ingrained many of these core values into the NMNQ doctrine, they made this limited edition EOD tribute collection to help fund the NSO Memorial Project. Over the course of only three weeks, these NSO Operators raised over $10,000 in proceeds, which will be donated and appropriated to the Memorial!

We are incredibly grateful to partner with this amazing NSO-owned company that shares NSOF's values and is committed to never letting our fallen brothers die twice.

While the pre-sale is over, NSOF will have a limited inventory for sale, made available by request

What We Do

Critical Care for NSO Warriors

Our most solemn obligation here at NSOF is ensuring our Warriors and their families always have a place to turn to for support. We understand firsthand what is required to maintain the resiliency of our heroes and their families by providing gap solutions when assistance cannot be provided through other channels.

This year alone, NSOF has provided immediate assistance - in 24hrs or less - to 7 NSO Families experiencing unexpected emergencies. This critical gap assistance ranges anywhere from emergency travel expenses and meals to disaster relief funding.

We can only serve the unserved and provide our heroes who have sacrificed so much for our freedoms with this level of support thanks to our generous donors and partners. If you would like to find out more information supporting this or other programs, please get in touch with Suzanna Fisher at sfisher@nsof.org or 757-716-8134

Free Flights at iFly Virginia Beach

We were thrilled to partner with iFly Virginia Beach last month, who provided over 100 NSO members with the gift of flight!!

Our families deserve the utmost gratitude and respect for the sacrifices they make as their NSO Warriors leave to fight our Nation's battles.

iFly's ongoing and continued support of the Navy Special Operations Foundation as well as the Navy EOD & Navy Diver community it serves allows us to help fill the void and facilitate building meaningful friendships between families who share common struggles.

The NSO Memorial

Well over a year in the making, we are proud and thrilled to unveil The NSO Memorial Project - A joint project proudly presented by the Navy Special Operations Foundation (NSOF), and one of our closest partners, the Navy EOD Association (NEODA).

The NSO Memorial not only honors our fallen Navy Special Operations heroes, its unique and original design simultaneously promotes healing and wellness for those who are still among us.

We've worked diligently to ensure that meaning has been embedded in every detail of this project and are proud to announce that we expect to break ground this coming Spring.

While approval for the NSO Memorial is pending, we are currently accepting pledges for donations towards this incredible project.
